The site museum and archaeological site were featured in an episode of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wkiyr9zTzL0\" target=\"_blank\"><em><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Museos Puertas Abiertas,<\/span><\/em><\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wkiyr9zTzL0\" target=\"_blank\"> TVPer\u00fa<\/a> (25 minutes).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In 2011 a new gallery was opened at the museum&#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/pukarapuno.blogspot.com\/2011_08_01_archive.html\" target=\"_blank\"><em>La Herencia Pukara: 3000 A\u00f1os de Historia y Tradici\u00f3n<\/em><\/a>&#8212; that presents information about contemporary crafting practices in Pucar\u00e1. Potters and weavers from Pucar\u00e1 donated raw materials and finished objects to the gallery, in addition to providing information for the wall texts and photos of their workshops and products. There are also a number of pottery workshops in Pucar\u00e1 where it is possible to buy local handicrafts.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deperu.com\/cultural\/museos\/museo-litico-de-pukara-1756\" target=\"_blank\">museum<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">,<\/span> located in the Plaza de Armas in Pucar\u00e1, is open\u00a0from 9am- 5pm and closed Mondays. There are a number of tour companies that stop briefly (&lt;45 minutes) in Pucar\u00e1 on the route between Puno and Cuzco.
